Last night, members of RCT Conservatives welcomed Robert Buckland QC MP to the Heritage Park Hotel in Trehafod, Porth. Mr Buckland, who currently serves as the Minister of State for Prisons, has been the Member of Parliament for South Swindon since 2010, and is originally from Llanelli.
Members on the night heard how, in 1993, he became the first Conservative 'in living memory' to be elected on to the old Dyfed County Council and how his career has progressed since.
Commenting on the evening, RCT Conservative Federation Chairman, Community Councillor Sam Trask, said, "The evening was extremely well attended, with fantastic company and fantastic food. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and I really must thank Mr Buckland for visiting us."
