Following the sad passing of long-standing community champion Alan Watts, RCT Conservatives have re-selected local resident Rob Green to contest the upcoming Church Village by-election on Llantwit Fardre Community Council.

Rob, who contested the last by-election in 2019, narrowly missed out by only 4 votes on becoming one of the youngest community councillors in the country, and both him and RCT Conservatives are hopeful that they will be able to do one better this time and win.

Commenting on his re-selection, Rob said, "I was absolutely gutted to just miss out last time, but I am hopeful that with the right campaign, we can win this by-election. Alan was a great community champion for Church Village and I very much hope that I will be given the opportunity to follow in his footsteps."
