Following a great campaign, Welsh Conservative candidate Rob Green narrowly lost out in taking the Church Village seat on Llantwit Fardre Community Council - by only 5 votes!

Though the seat was ultimately won by Labour, Rob and his team fought an excellent by-election campaign and there can be no doubt that the seat is there for the taking.

Commenting on the result, Rob Green said. "Though I am obviously disappointed to have lost, I am nonetheless delighted at the result that we have achieved. I'd very much like to try again and I have no doubt that this seat can be taken."
